I grew up in Oregon (still one of the best places on earth!) and attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA for my B.A. in psychology. After a one-year internship in a church, I came to Atlanta to study at The Psychological Studies Institute or PSI (now Richmont). This unique program allowed me to get my master’s degree at Georgia State University while also taking classes at PSI which focused on the integration of theology and psychology. Afterward, I took additional classes at the University of Georgia in order to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am also licensed as a Professional Counselor.
I have been married for 29 years and have two grown children.
